I am a 19 year old boy from NY, I am currently learning to drive, and my mom is helping me?

Ok im a 19 year old college boy. I am currently learning to drive. As for now, until i get my lisense, my mom drives me to/and home from college each day, which i and she don't mind. Do you think that this is OK, I will be driving in a few months by self. And BTW, I don't do busses and taxis, if that is what your answer, i do not do them.
