Ex-Fiance still in contact. Does it mean anything?

I posted recently about my breakup and had some great responses. The quick recap is that my fiance broke things off 5 weeks ago and after speaking with her sister I was told that she needed some space alone to work out what she wanted (that she wasn't 100% sure about not being together). Her sister said I should keep in light contact, being friendly and happy. I have sent two emails now (once per week); the first asking if it was okay with her - which she said yes to. The second was a follow up to a couple of questions she asked. Her first response was cold and short, the second much longer and friendlier (still no "love" on the end ;)). My question is this, does this mean anything, the contact, or am I just playing with heartbreak. I love her so deeply and I believe we are soul-mates and that timing in our lives was difficult. She's not the kind of person to play mind games but I wonder if she's doing it for me rather than her ... As I said the second email was friendlier in tone.
