Is it possible to love your dog too much?

I have a little shih tzu girl, we have had her around 8 months now. I have no children and dnt think I ever will have. I have become so attached to my little dog, I love her soo much,I am so worried all the time that something bad might happen to her, and get teary when I think I will out live her... I dread the day I lose her, its not gd thinkin of these things but I can't seem to help it ... I really couldn't imagine life without her , she is my world. Is it possible to love ur dog too much? Hardly a day goes by I dnt dread somethin bad happenin :(
