Physicists say - speed of light is always the same regardless of our own speed - explain?

can someone explain the following illustration to me ? -------- 'When we follow the beam of light in a very fast rocket moving at 100,000 km per second. How fast is the light beam moving away from us? Common sense tells us that it is moving away from us 300,000 km minus 100,000 km per second. In other words, the light beam is 200,000 km per second faster than us. Wrong! Remember that the speed of light is always the same regardless of our own speed. From our rocket we would see that the beam of light is still moving away from us at 300,000 km per second! Likewise, if we were moving towards the beam at a very high speed we would still see the light coming at us at 300,000 km per second!' --- how is this possible ---?????

Re-Pot Bougainvillea?

Bougainvilleas do not make a good strong rootball so they are hard to repot. If you turn the pot upside-down to shake the rootball out like you would another normal potted plant, a Bougainvillea rootball will fall apart, and the plant will most likely die. I do not know what type of pot your Bougainvillea is in, but if possible I would cut off the bottom of the pot, then place the bottomless pot inside the new one. Next slice the old pot straight down the sides in 3 or 4 places. Then peel off the pieces of the sides. Once the old pot is removed, fill in fresh potting soil between the old roots and the new pot's walls. Use your fingers to push the new soil fimly into the spaces so as not to leave any air pockets. Move the pot carefully into the spot you have chosen for it, and water it thoroughly.

you have a point. US and Soviets divided Europe and Asia but not the middle east. Soviets never set foot in the middle east during ww2 though and so it would have been aggression to do so after the war.which the Allies would not have allowed. US on the other hand wanted to be he nice guy, liberating everybody so it would be bad form to invade of all things, the desert. UK and France also were the former colonial masters of much of middle east so they probably would protest such an arrangement. Likely, there was an understanding that UK and France kept its sphere of influence in its former colonies, so long as they could keep it, while US and USSR gets their new spheres of influence at conclusion of the war.
