Can I return an open screen protector back to walmart?

I got a Griffin mirror screen protector for my iPod touch 4G and it is horrible! As soon as I step out into the sunlight, the glare is so bad you cant see the screen. When you turn it off it acts as a mirror but when you turn it on, it makes the screen a bit 'yellowish' and it's not very clear, and in order for it to be clear, you have to crank up the brightness which depletes the battery. Is it possible if I can get my money back if I pot everything back in the box? Thanks!!! :D
