Why do the Indians go on about Australian being convicts. When the English viewed them as slaves?

not all indians do that. I am an indian and i am a great admirer of australian history. The way this country has turned out to be in just about a century is indeed admirable and it wouldn't have been possible without the hardwork and perseverance of early settlers. so please don't feel bad if a handful of indians get the facts wrong. india has a lot of bitterness in its history but unfortunately history is irriversible. india is trying to move forward and one of the fastest developing countries in the world now.
